Mission:
Micrus is committed to supporting projects or activities that improve patient care and provide a true educational function in the field of neurovascular disease.Scope:
Micrus will accept the following requests:- Healthcare professional and patient education
- Patient advocacy and charitable programs to improve patient care
Criteria:
- Focus on neurointerventional technologies and/or stroke prevention and treatment.
- For educational programs, priority will be given to accredited programs and/or those with academic affiliation.
- Cost effective programs.
- Compliance with applicable ethical norms.
Educational Grants
The purpose for the grant must be designated in a formal letter of request and a budget, funds can only be used for the purposes of that grant request as outlined by its budget.Requests Outside the Scope of Micrus Grant Program
- Grants that do not comply with applicable industry codes of conduct (e.g., AdvaMed, Eucomed, etc.)
- Capital campaigns/Building funds
- Website development not associated with an accredited educational program
- Practice Management or Practice Referral Programs
- Entertainment (e.g., holiday parties, retirement dinners, etc.)
- Personal development (e.g., individual leadership training)
Application Instructions and Forms:
During the course of the year, Micrus receives hundreds of requests for grant support. While each grant is evaluated on its individual merits relative to other grant requests, we unfortunately are not capable of funding every request which we receive. Grants are reviewed on a monthly basis and once a decision is made, Micrus will promptly notify the requestor of our decision.

Request for Grant to Individual
Micrus periodically sponsors the attendance of individual healthcare professionals to attend training and education programs related to stroke and/or neurointerventional technologies. Please note that these sponsorships are not available for healthcare professionals licensed to practice in the United States, and are subject in all cases to compliance with applicable laws and industry ethics guidelines, as well as the rules of the institution where the healthcare professional practices.

For a grant request to be considered for funding it must be submitted, at least 60 days in advance of the funding need, the applicable form and supporting documentation (as specified in the appropriate form) via fax at the appropriate number as indicated in the contact section below.
Grant Status
- You may only check the status of your grant request by emailing the Micrus grant office at grants@micruscorp.com. Your Micrus sales/marketing contact will not have access to this information.
- Micrus will notify you via email or fax of the final disposition of the grant request. Please do not consider any request approved until you have received written confirmation of approval.
